Level Best have recently completed a 40,000 square foot warehouse floor dilapidation, refurbishment and repair industrial scheme in Camberley, Surrey.
The scheme requirements were all driven by the previous tenant’s carpet distribution operations. Due to the concentrated weight created by the carpets and carpet specific forklifts, the warehouse concrete floor joints experience significant breakdown at the exposed joint arises. The warehouse floors surface also experienced significant wear due to the forklift movements and rubber tyre deposits.
Level Best were engaged to provide a site-specific tailored repair solution to return the warehouse floor slab back to its original pre-let base build condition. This specification included the following items; full depth racking bolt removal, concrete shrinkage crack surface repairs, joint arris repairs, Level Best’s Heavy-Duty Joint Repair, Level Best’s RenoFlor polishing process and mastic joint sealant.
This refurbishment scheme in Surrey, Camberley gave Level Best opportunity to demonstrate the Heavy-duty Joint Repair solution. This repair was recommended adjacent to the level entry doorways, the area of slab where the joints had experienced significant breakdown due to the concentrated forklift traffic movements. The 3-stage joint repair process involves the retrofit installation of an armoured wave profile transition joint less susceptible to arris breakdown. The joint is manufactured with a hard-wearing glass-plastic material capable of been ground flush allowing a completely smooth transition.
On completion of Level Best’s Floor Renovation Process in Camberley, Surrey, the warehouse floor slab has been returned as close to its pre-let condition as possible. The landlord and potential future occupants now have a “blank canvas” warehouse floor space with reduced maintenance and serviceability properties, capable of accommodating a variety of industrial, distribution and retail occupants.
