Level Best have completed their latest major 250,000 square foot industrial concrete floor renovation project in Banbury, Oxfordshire on behalf of a new client.
Level Best’s Renovation services were required following the completion of the previous tenant’s lease period. The previous tenant had shot-blasted and resin painted the entire 250,000 square foot industrial concrete floor on this unit in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Level Best were tasked with removing the paint and returning the slab back to it’s original pre-let base build condition making it suitable for a new tenancy and future leases.
Investment was made into the latest remote-controlled walk-behind concrete grinding machine ensuring Level Best remain at the forefront of innovation in concrete floor dilapidation, refurbishment and repair. The concrete grinder was the ideal machine to remove the heavy-duty resin warehouse floor paint, which could not be removed by typical methods as the floor had been prepared through shot-blasting beforehand, perforating the concrete surface providing a “key” for pain application.
Level Best’s Renovation team removed around 500 square metres of resin paint per day utilising the new floor grinding machine and hand-held machinery to the perimeter. Other repairs completed in Banbury included; fixing and racking bolt full depth coring removal, 300 square metres of reinforced concrete pit infill to TR34 FM2 tolerance and 750 metres of existing joint mastic sealant.
On removal of the resin floor paint in Banbury, Oxfordshire Level Best completed a ‘RenoFlor6’ clean, polish and seal process to the full 250,000 square foot warehouse floor providing a hard-wearing, tough and abrasive “blank canvas” which will reduce maintenance, cleaning and serviceability issues for the landlord and any future industrial tenants.
