Following completion of a previous tenancy on this 250,000 square foot logistics unit in Leicester in the East Midlands, the industrial landlord and building agent were looking for a solution to the return the warehouse floor back to its original pre-let base build condition, ready for a new occupant to move in and begin their tenancy on a suitable warehouse surface.
The original curing and sealing agent applied to the slab has worn off overtime and also under heavy use of the slab, thus creating a micro roughness at the surface creating dusting and susceptible to tyre marking.
Level Best’s concrete floor repair team will be commencing onsite in a couple of weeks to carry out a series of concrete floors repairs, including good practice full depth removal and infilling of racking bolts and surface patch repairs following damage caused to the concrete. All repair materials reinstated are either equal to or greater than the compressive strength of the current concrete surface.
Level Best will then be returning to Leicester, East Midlands near the end of the industrial refurbishment project to complete their revolutionary “RenoFlor” polishing system. The solution has been tailored to suit the exact needs onsite, taking into account the age of the existing concrete floor whilst also factoring in considerations for timescales and budgets.
The “RenoFlor” polishing solution removes the micro-roughness of the surface, uses a densifier to create a smooth surface and then a sealer to provide long term protection. Once the process is complete a standard cleaning regime should ensure the floor remains dust free.
Please keep following the website for further updates on this East Midlands industrial refurbishment project. Level Best will also be commencing on similar industrial refurbishment schemes in the West Midlands and Surrey.
