Concrete Floor Renovation project in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham

Level Best’s Floor Renovation Division have recently completed an industrial dilapidation, refurbishment and repair project in Erdington, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. The scheme involved the making good of 50,000 square foot of existing warehouse concrete flooring.

Level Best’s scope of works in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham commenced with the full depth core removal of existing previous tenant installed fixing and racking bolts. Level Best also carried out extensive warehouse floor joint repairs to all high-traffic level access doors, this repair involved the full depth removal of the existing defective joints with the reinstatement of a steel armoured profile construction joints, capable of accommodating heavy-trafficking.

The main contraction joint in the warehouse space, a traditional unarmoured joint type, had broken down significantly at the joint arris surface. Level Best completed a full surface joint repair involving removing the defective concrete, preparing and priming the exposed substrate and reinstating of a high-strength cementitious repair mortar with the joint induced and sealed.

Level Best then returned to site Erdington in Birmingham, West Midlands approximately 2 months later to complete the existing concrete flooring RenoFlor concrete cleaning, polishing and sealing floor treatment system. This process involves improving the slabs abrasion, wearing and structural capacity whilst also improving the aesthetics, dustproofing and longevity. These benefits are achieved through a innovative grinding technique alongside the application of heard-wearing products.

Yorkshire-based Level Best Dilapidations will be mobilising to sites in Northamptonshire and London to complete further Floor Renovation Projects following the successful completion of this scheme.
