Industrial concrete floor dilapidation specialists Level Best are making progress on an industrial project on Tower Bridge Business Park in Central London.
Works commenced onsite approximately 4 weeks ago with Level Best Dilapidations carrying out a variety of industrial concrete floor preparation works including the removal of a resin screed. Due to Level Best’s extensive fleet of concrete floor repair plant and machinery, the industrial specialists had a solution to remove the unknown screed. After trying various removal methods varying in degrees of abrasiveness and intrusiveness, Level Best settled on the Bobcat planer machine, a removable attachment for the machine.
The same Bobcat machine and attachment will be used to scabble and break down the slab in another area of the building, allowing for the installation of a 60mm bonded concrete overlay screed. The Bobcat plane machine, and its intrusive nature, make it the ideal machine for breaking down tough surface coverings and existing concrete floors.
Other preparation works have been completed including the removal and replacement of a defective concrete pit infill. Works here include drilling and dowelling of high tensile square dowel bars providing load transfer for future use of the building. Mesh reinforcement is pre-set prior to ready-mix concrete reinstatement and a full power float surface finish provided.
Level Best have approximately 4 weeks left onsite for the first phase of works. On completion, Level Best Dilapidations will be mobilising to sites in Minworth, West Midlands and Hayes, West London to carry out more specialist concrete floor inspections, repairs and refurbishment services for existing clients and customers.
